Sykes Pumps Expands Submersible Pump

Having retained and been awarded a significant number of Water Company framework agreements in the past 12 months, Sykes Pumps is making a major investment to considerably expand its Electric Submersible pump hire range during 2012.
The company has just taken delivery of the first batch of new ABS XFP electric submersible Wastewater pumps, many of which will go straight out on major sewage bypass pumping schemes currently underway. This expansion of the Sykes Pumps and accessory range is additional to the normal, routine investment associated with Hire Fleet requirements.
These additions feature the latest technology available in submersible pump design. They benefit from premium efficiency IE3 motors, provide excellent rag handling and can deliver flows exceeding 450 litres /second. The pumps are accompanied by state of the art Variable Frequency Drives allowing fine tuning of pump performance characteristics to deliver high efficiencies at the customer’s desired duty point, while minimising starting current demand. All of the pumps are ATEX / Ex approved and range from 2.2kW (80mm) to 75kW (300mm) in size. Their versatility and compact design will allow direct replacement and adaption to suit most manufacturers’ pumps and configurations.
Additional units
Further deliveries of new Wastewater pumps, will be deployed throughout the Sykes Pumps Fleet from May onwards, complimenting the existing comprehensive range of Sykes Drainers and Sewage submersibles.
