Question by Corinnique: How expensive is it to fix the air conditioning on a 98 Saturn?
I refilled the fluid and a week later it seems to have disappeared — so, something is leaking. I think the worst news would be if it’s the compresser. What are the other possibilities of where it’s leaking fluid? How much is this likely to cost to repair? I live in the Atlanta area.
By fluid, I mean the stuff (used to be freon) that the repair shops put in the car — this was done by a mechanic. I don’t think that whatever it is they refilled is the problem — I think the AC system is leaking, that’s the problem.

If you put some kind of fluid in your ac system the entire system will need to be replaced. Ac systems dont use fluid. To replace your ac system at a shop figure on around fifteen hundred bucks parts and labor
